Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, at the age of thirteen, Maiko Suzuki visited New York City and fell in love with the energy, the people and the possibility for an artistic life. Born into a family of designers, she knew from a young age that she wanted to be a designer because she grew up surrounded by art.

Maiko moved here on her own, at the age of seventeen, to pursue her passions. She earned a BFA from the Parson’s School of Design. She has been working professionally ever since.

Maiko has over thirteen years of professional experience in graphic design and fashion design, which has given her a wide range of experiences in various creative fields, including designing t-shirts, logos, branding, websites, and packaging. Additionally, she has over seven years of experience working in the denim industry as a designer, CAD artist, and wash developer, and she is versatile in many aspects of design from production through final product. As an illustrator and artist, she creates original designs by hand, which creates beautiful additions to her work.
